Aztec Minerals

Aztec Minerals (TSX-V: AZT)(OTC: AZZTF) is a mineral exploration company focused on the discovery of large mineral deposits in the Americas. Aztec is led by an experienced management team and board of directors who have successful track records of financing, acquiring, discovering and developing mineral discoveries in the Americas.
The prospective Cervantes porphyry gold-copper property in Sonora, Mexico is Aztec’s core asset. Cervantes is a porphyry gold-copper property in eastern Sonora, MX that fits the company’s exploration strategy. The property has a 900m by 600m gold in soil anomaly that averages 0.44 gr/t gold with 118 samples ranging from 0.07 to 4.38 gr/t, 18 samples greater than 0.9 gr/t, largely hosted in quartz feldspar porphyry intrusive at the California Target.
Aztec also holds an option on the Tombstone district with both bulk tonnage epithermal gold-silver as well as high grade CRD silver-lead-zinc potential in southern Arizona. Historic mining began in 1878 and extracted high grade silver-gold-lead-zinc-copper from oxidized mantos (CRD’s) and epithermal veins. Larger sulphide rich CRD’s are envisaged deeper in the stratigraphy where highly prospective Paleozoic limestones are present. The thick sedimentary sequence is correlative to stratigraphy found 60km to the west at the newly discovered and massive Taylor lead-zinc CRD. Smaller scale high-grade silver-gold veins are prospective and never explored by modern technics.
