Uranium Reaction

  • India Powering Up - India’s Power Minister stated that the country plans to have nuclear power generation capacity of 63,000 Mw in the next 20 years. Stating that, “atomic power is advantageous in terms of transportation and storage”, India’s Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde made the forecast at the India International Nuclear Symposium.

  • Ban Lifted - Citing “enormous profits” and job opportunities, the New South Wales Premier has overturned a ban on uranium exploration in the Australian state. With the overturning of the uranium exploration ban in New South Wales, the state of Victoria is now the sole remaining Australian state with a moratorium on uranium exploration.  Queensland allows exploration but mining is still banned.

  • Uranium Rolling - We have told anyone who would listen that when the uranium resurgence comes, it would be aggressive and it would first focus on the producers such as Cameco and Uranium One.  That time is clearly now. Week-over-week, Cameco has gained 13.8% while Uranium One has gained 24%.
