RSD Weekly Recap: K2 Gold (TSX-V: KTO), Fission 3.0’s (TSX-V: FUU), Revival Gold (TSX-V: RVG)

This is Gerardo Del Real with the Resource Stock Digest weekly recap.

Gold closed down $5, settling at $1,288 an ounce.

Silver also closed lower, losing 1.5% for the week and closing at $17.01 per ounce.

This as the dollar closed down 1%, settling at 92.76.

Copper had a big week, gaining approximately 3.5% and closing at $3.16/lb.

It may have been too much too soon as it’s given most of it back this week.

Platinum was down 1.1% for the week, closing at $941 per ounce.

Palladium was relatively flat, gaining a dollar and closing at $989 per ounce.

Zinc gained 2 cents and closed at $1.48/lb.

Oil surged, closing near the $59 level for a weekly gain of just over 4%.

Uranium pulled back, closing at $24.13/lb. for a weekly loss of $0.12.

I had the chance to speak with K2 Gold (TSX-V: KTO) CEO Stephen Swatton. Stephen shared the details of new targets K2 is developing and talked about the increasing land position at the flagship Wels property.

K2 shares have traded lower, likely a result of tax-loss selling season. The company has an excellent team that includes John Robins as Chairman and I expect a busy 2018 for K2. I don’t expect shares to stay at these levels for long. The current market cap is a meager $4 million.

I also had the opportunity to chat with Fission 3.0’s (TSX-V: FUU) Chief Geologist Ross McElroy. Ross shared his thoughts on the recent news from Cameco, the uranium market and the stable of projects in the Athabasca basin that Fission 3.0 is developing.

Lastly, I interviewed Revival Gold (TSX-V: RVG) CEO Hugh Agro. Revival just wrapped up its 2017 drill program at Beartrack and is expecting assays within the next two weeks. Hugh talked about the program, went over the plans for 2018 and talked about sampling results from the nearby Arnett Creek.

I expect excellent results from Beartrack and if they’re anything like past results, I expect a lot more people to get familiar with the Revival Gold story.

That’s all for this week. This is Gerardo Del Real with the Resource Stock Digest weekly recap.
